The story behind Strange Stays

It began with Bottle Lodge.

An unusual little building in Tixall was the beginning of Strange Stays. Its distinctive shape and historic character deserved a future.

We’re building a small collection of places like this: buildings restored with care, retaining the details that make them special and opening their doors to guests.

Bottle Lodge welcomes two guests. The Pump House is the next chapter in the collection.
